I love to play on poker stars and its a lot of fun. Just do not gamble with more money than you are willing to loose, unless you are really good.

I ‘ve played in live games and live tournaments for years. Now I play tournaments on line and love it. I am tired of poker players. Now at least I don’t have to look at them or smell them! On line is great!

I love them both, live is more of a social game but you can learn the game online.

Live poker is more fun than online poker. You get a chance to see facial expressions and body movement. And you can sorta stereotype a player on how tight or loose he is just by how he looks. The disadvantages of live poker is the gas money getting there and the low number of hands per hour. And going to the bathroom during a live game can be a problem.

But if your goal is to make money, I would do online poker if you like small stakes because you save on gas money and the amount of hands you see per hour go up dramatically. But If you play very high stakes, the real life poker would bring in the most profit.

if you can keep a straight face no matter what and not give away when your bluffing and can read other peoples faces

live and online poker, they both are fun. what’s not fun is playing with no $$ involve(to me at least). since u been playing online i assume u know the basic rules and if u decide to play live games(limit, no limit, or tournaments) same basic rules are apply. very little different rules are vary by casinos but if u have any question, dealer will direct u to right path.
i see some people like playing online better cause of bluffing, tells, and missing out social chat with live person. i disagree because there are certain tells and bluff u could figure out online. i’m sure people who played a lot online knows what i’m talking about. lol. u could always make good conversation online with other players and it will make your grinding less bore.
my advice to u is try playing live game(start with lowest limit they offer) and see how that feels and compare with online poker.

Live poker is a much better game in my opinion. Poker is a social game, and online play takes that aspect away from it.

Sure, online play is great when you’ve got a couple of hours to kill and don’t feel much like taking a shower and leaving the house, but it is really no match for the feel of chips in your hands. Give it a try.

Live poker is more controlled and in some ways easier. It’s more difficult for someone to bluff in a live game than online game. I used to play online, and I found that there are just too many imaginary plays ( I do not want to call them bad plays).

If you want to become good at poker, it’s better to play with real people. Beside, play with real people is more fun.

i think that online play was made for people who can’t pull off a bluff in live play, or who can’t study someone who’s right there in front of you and get a feel for how they play…i enjoy live much more, i think it is more skillful because you are able to actually study your opponents and get to see if they are steaming and look for tells, etc.

i prefer on-line…i can play anytime…play in my boxers if i want, smoke without being sneered at, and i dont have to listen to all the wanna bee experts. Thats just me though…i hate people.
